Key Features of Gate Valves With Flexible Disc
- The construction keeps stem threads outside the valve & is recommended where high temperature, corrosive, & solids in the line might damage stem threads inside the valve. When the hand wheel is turned, the stem rises as the yoke bushing engages the stem threads. The external threads enable the easy lubrication. Care must be taken, however, to protect exposed stem threads from damages.
- Valves with bolted bonnets may be easily dismantled with conventional wrenches. Body & Bonnet flanges are usually furnished with flat faces or male & female joints.
